The College of Business and Management, (CBMS), Dutse is the pioneer College of the Jigawa State Polytechnic.It was established in 2007 following the conversion of the former Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic, Kazaure in to Federal Polytechnic. As part of the reorganization initiative by the Jigawa State Government to enhance technical and vocational education, Jigawa State Polytechnic was created with its main Central Administration situated in the state capital, Dutse and College of Business and Management Studies became it’s foundational College. At inception, CBMS was the only College under the newly created Jigawa State Polytechnic.It inherited a number of programmes and facilities from the former Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic and began operations with a strong focus on Business, Accounting, and Administrative studies. Since it’s establishment, the College has played a central role in the academic and professional development of students in areas such as Accounting, Business Administration, Office Technology & Management and Public Administration.Over the years , it has grown in both size and scope, expanding it’s academic programmes, upgrading it’s infrastructure and maintaining a strong commitment to quality education. College of Business and Management Studies, Dutse, remains a key contributor to the Polytechnic mission of providing practical skill- based education that meets the socio- economic need of Jigawa State and Nigeria at large CBMS is committed to producing graduates who are not only academically sound but also professionally equipped to address challenges in the Business and Administrative sectors. The College continues to evolve through innovation, staff development and a curriculum that meets national and global standards.
