The Senior Deputy Registrar plays a vital role in general administrative duties. He assists the Registrar in overseeing academic administration and institutional governance, ensuring that the polytechnic’s policies, regulations, and procedures are properly implemented

Unlike other Deputy Registrars who focus on specific areas like Academics or Establishment, the Special Duties office handles cross-cutting assignments that require discretion, coordination, and direct support to top management particularly the Rector or Registrar.

Special Duties
Oversees recruitment, appointment, promotion, confirmation, and retirement processes for all staff (academic and non-academic), Maintains and updates comprehensive and confidential personnel records, provides administrative and procedural guidance to management on employment laws, staff discipline, and institutional policies, Serves as Secretary or resource person to various staff-related committees, handles disciplinary processes including queries, panels of investigation, and recommendations in line with extant regulations.
